ilaw atbp. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of innovative lighting products, focusing on performance optimization, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with LED technology, and a passion for creating cutting-edge lighting solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical circuits and systems for various lighting applications, including indoor, outdoor, architectural, and specialty lighting.
- Select appropriate electronic components, including LEDs, drivers, power supplies, and control circuits, based on performance requirements, cost constraints, and environmental considerations.
- Develop schematic diagrams and BOMs (Bill of Materials) using industry-standard CAD software.
- Prototype and test lighting products to validate design performance, identify potential issues, and implement necessary improvements.
- Develop and execute testing procedures to verify compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Architects, and Interior Designers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components with the overall product design.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and contributing to design decisions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in LED technology, lighting controls, and energy-efficient lighting solutions.
- Document design specifications, test results, and other relevant technical information.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and electronic issues in lighting products.
- Contribute to the development of new product concepts and innovations.
- Work with external vendors and suppliers to source components and materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Licensed preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the lighting industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, power electronics, and control systems.
- Experience with LED technology, LED drivers, and lighting controls.
- Proficiency in using CAD software.
- Experience with simulation software.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for lighting products.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming is a plus.
- Experience with lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) is a plus.
- This requires onsite work from Monday-Friday at Scout Rallos, Quezon City
