Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer Consultant to support a Solar Hydro Project for a short-term engagement. The consultant will play a critical role in conducting technical due diligence and providing expert insights on electrical systems, particularly in transmission and high-voltage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical due diligence for the Solar Hydro Project, including review and validation of design documents, calculations, and technical specifications
- Evaluate electrical system design, including generation, transmission, and distribution components
- Provide expert assessment of transmission line systems and high-voltage (HV) infrastructure
- Identify technical risks, gaps, and compliance issues, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Review grid interconnection requirements and ensure alignment with applicable standards and regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure technical alignment
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings, recommendations, and action plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage)
- Licensed Electrical Engineer (preferred)
- Minimum of 810 years of relevant experience in power, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in technical due diligence for energy or power projects
- Proven experience in transmission lines and high-voltage systems
- Experience in solar and/or hydro projects is highly preferred
- Familiarity with grid codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on hybrid renewable energy projects (Solar + Hydro)
- Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
