Electrical Design Drafter

Undertaking of assigned electrical design drafting activities in accordance with client procedures and Australian standards associated with biogas, thermal and or process plant including:

Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Panel layouts and material lists

Termination diagrams

Process and instrumentation diagrams

General arrangement and layout drawings of electrical systems

Site and plant layouts with electrical focus

Documentation for installation, commissioning and operation

Prepare and Maintain project documentation including:

Installation and commissioning procedures for electrical systems

Operation and Maintenance Manuals (electrical sections)

QA documentation for electrical components

Participate in the preparation of the project design in conjunction with the engineering manager and or Project Manager including but not limited to, determination of drafting deliverables and resource requirements.

Assist in the completion of project on schedule and in accordance with the project objectives through:

Identifying the need for additional resources

Monitoring productivity of assigned drafting tasks against the project schedule

Identify training needs

Identify shortcomings in drafting infrastructure and or procedures that are impacting productivity.

Take responsibility for the continual improvement of drawing standards including but not limited to Accuracy, Structure, and Fitness for purpose

To be a proactive member of the bioenergy projects team

Interface with project engineering resources to ensure required information is received effectively.

Check and review electrical engineering drawings

Assist with the continuous improvement of design procedures and standards.

Additional drafting responsibilities as required to assist the Project Managers and or Drafting Manager meet key commitments.

Assist to promote and increase the business activities of the company wherever possible, including Business Development, project delivery, etc.

Qualifications:

- Should be focused on experience in biogas (oil and gas industry or water treatment plant), NOT solar

- Rlevant industries: biogas, thermal

- Role is to design biogas plan and manufacture some of those plans

- Electrical design drafter: requirement is autocad electrical proficiency

- Knowledge in Australian standards--design to those standards; doesn't need to be in-depth knowledge but should at least be familiar

- At least 3 years of relevant exp
