The Manager for Education Partnerships is responsible for driving the growth, sustainability, and broader impact of both the Early Grades and Digital Education programs. The role focuses on identifying, cultivating, and managing high-impact partnerships across government, private sector, academic institutions, and development organizations. It represents the education team in cross-division and external coordination efforts for securing funding, developing expansion strategies, and positioning the programs as scalable solutions to address learning gaps in the Philippines.
Stakeholder Relations and Advocacy
- Lead identification, cultivation, and management of strategic partnerships
- Represent the organization in external engagements, forums, and stakeholder platforms
- Advocate for multi-sectoral collaboration to support program growth
- Negotiate and align partnership agreements with program goals
Program Planning, Design, and Scaling Strategy
- Drive the strategic vision for scaling the organization's Education programs nationally
- Identify and assess new sites for expansion (needs, readiness, feasibility)
- Design scalable program models adaptable to local contexts
- Align expansion strategies with DepEd, ECCD, LGU priorities, and broader systems
- Collaborate with Operations to validate feasibility of expansion plans
- Identify and anticipate political, social, and operational risks affecting expansion
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (Strategic Use of Data)
- Interpret program data in collaboration with Operations and MEAL
- Translate M&E outputs into partner reports, pitch narratives, scaling insights, etc.
- Ensure external communications reflect actual program performance and outcomes
- Support data-driven decision-making for partnerships and expansion
Budget, Finance, and Proposal Support
- Serve as programmatic point person for Marketing and External Relations (MER) team in proposal development
- Consolidate input from Operations and support units (Finance, MEAL, Legal, etc.)
- Provide inputs on program design, scaling strategy, and implementation approach
- Ensure proposals reflect actual program capacity and constraints
- Support development of value propositions aligned with partner priorities
Capacity Building and Leadership
- Mentor Education team in partnerships and scaling work
- Build internal capacity for stakeholder engagement and external positioning
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
- Support team readiness for expansion and increasing complexity
Knowledge Management and Documentation
- Document program models, innovations, and implementation learnings
- Translate insights into externally usable knowledge products
- Support dissemination of insights to partners and stakeholders
- Contribute to evidence base for scaling and replication
Strategic Oversight and Thought Leadership
- Continuously refine program strategies based on trends and insights
- Identify innovation opportunities to enhance impact and relevance
- Represent the organization in strategic education and development discussions
- Contribute to shaping discourse in early childhood and digital education
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify risks across political, social, economic, and operational dimensions
- Anticipate challenges in new sites and stakeholder environments
- Develop mitigation approaches in coordination with relevant teams
- Ensure realistic and risk-aware external positioning
Cross-Department Collaboration and Policy Development
- Facilitate strategic alignment across internal teams to support coherent scaling direction
- Ensure program insights inform organizational strategy and decision-making
- Translate implementation and partnership insights into policy-relevant recommendations
- Contribute to national and local education policy discussions and advocacy
REQUIREMENTS
- At least a Bachelor's degree in education, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business, or related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or program scaling in the education sector
- Experience working with government (DepEd/LGUs), NGOs, or development sector for education-related programs
- Proven track record in securing partnerships and funding
- Willingness for frequent travel to program sites and partner locations, engagement with external stakeholders including government and private sector
- Willing to work in Makati City on a hybrid work set-up (3x a week onsite). May require flexible hours depending on partner engagements and events
