We are looking for a dynamic Editorial Assistant to join our high-performing editorial team to work across various stages of our publication process.The role primarily encompasses research and administrative tasks, contributing to the creation of high-quality content while ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
What you will do:
- Assist the editorial team in all aspects of the publication process, including but not limited to conducting SEO research, preparing interview questions and coordinating workflows.
- Assist with the client approval process, acting as the liaison between the editorial team and clients to facilitate edits, revisions and approvals.
- Collaborate with the editorial and sales teams and clients to gather necessary materials and content.
- Manage administrative duties, such as organising files and databases, managing press releases, arranging for audio files to be transcribed and coordinating communications to facilitate efficient workflows.
- Provide support and assistance to potential contributors who enquire about submitting articles to the CEO Contributor Collective.
- Provide ad-hoc support to senior members of the editorial team, as required.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of materials for publication, including formatting documents, sourcing images and preparing digital content for online platforms.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the editorial team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in handling diverse tasks and priorities.
- Assist with ad trafficking duties when required.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information and communications related to editorial projects and contributors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor publications and emerging topics to contribute insights and ideas for content development and improvement.
We are a great match if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field preferred, but not essential.
- Previous experience in an editorial role or related field is advantageous, but not essential.
- Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in English grammar, punctuation and style.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight editorial deadlines
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in the Google suite and Monday.com.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive working relationships.
- A commitment to upholding editorial integrity and promoting quality content in accordance with company values and objectives.
- The ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive team culture.
