Job Summary
- Responsible for providing strategic support to the Chief Economist in the creation, updating, and overall management of the Bank's research infrastructure (Philippines and global) on various macroeconomic data, financial markets, industries, and other research areas requested or assigned by the Senior Management to provide inputs for decision-making and assist in the planning, budgeting, risk management, investments/trading, and lending/credit activities of RCBC and the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC
How will you contribute
- Assists the Chief Economist in preparing and presenting the weekly economic update/report for the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) to provide economic, financial market, asset quality/credit, and industry analyses considered important management information and inputs to decision-making as to the Bank's position/exposures, as well as opportunities, threats and most likely risks that will be faced by the Bank.
- Supports the Chief Economist in monitoring, collating, and analyzing important economic, financial markets, and industry developments (e.g. creation and updating of various databases, econometric analysis, other forecasting techniques, etc.).
- Supports the Chief Economist in providing macroeconomic assumptions for the planning and budgeting exercise for the Bank's various groups and the overall five-year budget and business plan, as well as for ICAAP, ECL, Recovery Plan, etc.
What will make you successful
- Graduate of business, economics, finance, accounting, marketing, or any related degree.
- Knowledge of economic/financial markets/industry research, analysis, forecasting, etc.
- Superior communication skills (oral, writing, & analytical). Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, AI.
