Job Description
Woolworths Group (Australia and New Zealand's largest retailer) launched Woolworths Market Plus (WMP) in October 2023. WMP is the coming together of two businesses (BigW Market & Everyday Market).
WMP is a new platform for businesses to both sell and manage products across the Woolworths Group Marketplaces. A curated customer destination, bringing together a trusted ecosystem comprising three core banners: Everyday Market and BIG W Market. We have grown in the last year and now operate primarily across three hub locations: Manila, Melbourne & Sydney.
About the Role
Woolworths Market Plus (WMP) is a curated customer destination and dynamic platform for businesses to sell and manage products across Woolworths Group Marketplaces.
We are looking for a dedicated and highly organised individual to join us as an eCommerce Operations Specialist. This role provides comprehensive general operational support for WMP across our commercial business, seller operation functions and new initiatives.
As the eCommerce Operations Specialist, you will be a vital conduit between vendors, our internal buying and finance teams, 3PL partners, and our seller base. You will ensure seamless day-to-day operations, nurture seller relationships, and actively contribute to the roll-out of new strategic operational programs.
What You'll Do
Commercial Operations & Inventory Management
- Manage vendor details, SKU creation and purchase order lifecycles to maintain high data integrity.
- Coordinate stock movements, ASNs, and inventory receiving with 3PL warehouses, vendors and internal buyers.
- Reconcile ERP inventory levels against 3PL warehouse data, processing adjustments and resolving discrepancies.
Fulfillment & Sales Order Management
- Monitor sales order flow across marketplace channels into ERP and 3PL systems to ensure timely dispatch.
- Proactively investigate and resolve order delays or fulfillment bottlenecks using data analytics.
- Partner with Customer Service and Operations leadership to communicate status updates and escalate complex issues.
Seller Operation & Performance
- Ensure seller compliance with marketplace policies while proactively addressing order fulfillment delays.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coach sellers, improve performance metrics and support seller growth.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Initiatives
- Support the rollout and execution of new WMP operational initiatives across commercial business units.
- Analyse operational data to identify process bottlenecks and implement ongoing workflow enhancements.
What you'll bring
- Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or general operations is highly regarded. Experience with ERP systems (like Netsuite) is highly advantageous.
- Highly analytical and data-focused. Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite. An understanding of technical requirements surrounding e-commerce marketplaces is a strong plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly diagnose and explain complex problems to internal teams, external vendors, and sellers.
- Careful organisation and time management skills. You must be able to work to strict deadlines, take initiative, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a can-do attitude. High attention to detail is a must.
