Job Description

About the Role

The Company distributes a portfolio of tool and equipment brands across Australia, each with its own audience and brand identity. We are looking for one person to work directly alongside the Head of Digital, supporting the digital and ecommerce activity across all of them.

This is a hands-on role. Most days you will be updating products, designing ad and email creative, building pages and helping get campaigns out the door — often across two or three different brands in the same day. You will be given a clear structure to work within: our campaign frameworks, templates and processes are already built and documented, and you will be trained on them. What matters most is that you are accurate, organized, quick to pick things up, and good at making things look right.

We also use AI tools heavily and expect you to as well. You do not need to be an expert; you do need to be genuinely interested in using them to work faster.

What You Will Be Doing

Shopify & product listings

Adding and updating products across our stores — titles, descriptions, pricing, images, videos and specifications.

Building collections, landing pages and navigation.

Bulk updates via CSV where there are a lot of products to change at once.

Checking stores regularly for broken links, missing images and layout problems.

Helping get new products live when stock arrives.

Design & creative

Designing ad creative, email graphics, banners and social assets to each brand's guidelines.

Resizing and adapting one concept into the different formats we need (square, portrait, story).

Tidying up product photography and building simple lifestyle mockups.

Adapting assets supplied by our overseas brand partners for the Australian market.

Keeping the asset libraries organized and clearly separated by brand.

Advertising & email

Building Meta ad campaigns across multiple ad accounts using our existing structure and naming conventions (we will train you on this).

Uploading and organizing creative across campaigns.

Building and scheduling email campaigns in Klaviyo from our templates.

Basic day-to-day monitoring — flagging anything that looks off rather than making strategy calls.

Website & light coding

Making small edits to page sections using HTML and CSS.

Building simple landing pages to brief, making sure they look right on mobile.

Using AI coding assistants to help with anything beyond your current skill level.

Content & reporting

Writing and improving product copy, page titles and meta descriptions.

Maintaining monthly social content calendars and scheduling posts.

Pulling together weekly and monthly performance reports from our existing dashboards.

What We Are Looking For

Needed from day one

Comfortable working inside Shopify admin — adding and editing products, collections and pages.

Solid graphic design skills in Canva, Figma or Adobe (Photoshop / Illustrator).

Able to find your way around Meta Ads Manager — you do not need to be a media buyer, but you should know what a campaign, ad set and ad are and be able to build one when shown how.

Excellent written English.

Very strong attention to detail, especially with product specifications, pricing and numbers.

Able to switch between brands without mixing up tone, logos or guidelines.

Organized, able to juggle work for several brands at once and hit deadlines without being chased.

Confident using AI tools and keen to use them more.

Helpful if you have it

Basic HTML and CSS — enough to read a page and make changes AI use is encouraged.

Video editing for short social clips (CapCut, Premiere or similar).

Klaviyo, Mailchimp or any email marketing platform.

Google Analytics, Search Console or Looker Studio.

Experience with an Australian, NZ, UK or US business.

Experience in tools, hardware, outdoor or similar product categories.

We will teach you

Our Meta campaign framework, audience structure and naming conventions.

Our Klaviyo flows, templates and email approach.

Shopify Liquid and our theme structure.

Our reporting dashboards and what we measure.

Our brands, their product ranges and their positioning.

Good to Know

Some of our brands cannot offer discount codes due to supplier pricing agreements, so a lot of our marketing works on product quality, education and trust rather than promotions.

If you are ever unsure of a product detail, we would much rather you leave it blank and flag it than guess. Accuracy matters more than speed here.

You will work directly with the Head of Digital, with regular check-ins over Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

A qualification in marketing, design, digital media, communications or similar is useful but a strong portfolio matters more.

Around two years in an ecommerce, digital marketing or design role.

A portfolio of design work. If you have worked on a live Shopify store, tell us which one.
