The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending drilling targets and programs, providing geologic guidance while drilling, synthesizing conceptual resource models, working with the team to optimize resource management and future development, while exploring and maintaining awareness of development and prospecting opportunities.
The Role
- Uses geoscientific knowledge and expertise to identify high-value drilling targets for make-up and step- out wells
- Collaborates with Drilling and Reservoir Engineering to plan drilling programs
- Plans, manages, conducts quality control, and interprets wellsite geology data and activities to help reach targets in a cost-effective manner
- Works with a team to maintain and update conceptual resource model; evaluate and propose well workovers to regain lost productivity and injectivity; address resource issues affecting field operations; and conduct studies for future field development
- Conducts/supervises geologic surveys, participates in integrated interpretation of 3G data, and proposes exploration and appraisal drilling targets
- Maintains awareness of new development opportunities nationwide
The Individual
- Bachelor's degree in Geology required; postgraduate degree is a plus
- Licensed Geologist
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in wellsite geology, drilling operations, and reservoir evaluation
- Highly skilled in geoscientific analysis and 3G data interpretation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to be based in Makati, with occasional travel to field operations and exploration sites
