About the Company

As a key subsidiary of SMC Infrastructure, you will join the Company that is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the MRT7 project. The MRT7 Project is set to redefine the commute between Metro Manila and Bulacan by introducing a modern, high-efficiency rail network.

The MRT7 Project at a Glance

The MRT7 is a 22-kilometer rail and road system extending from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Designed to be a backbone of northern metropolitan transit, the project features 14 strategically placed stations, including Quezon North Avenue Joint Station, University Avenue, Batasan, and San Jose del Monte.

Once fully operational, the MRT7 is engineered to support a massive daily capacity of up to 650,000 passengers, offering a faster and more seamless travel experience for the commuting public.

About the Role

The E&M Systems Lead is responsible for defining comprehensive strategies for preventive and corrective maintenance by leveraging historical data and industry trends. This role involves plotting and monitoring maintenance schedules aligned with operational requirements, analyzing technical equipment specifications, and leading feasibility studies for critical system upgrades, rehabilitations, and fleet expansions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define overall plans and strategies for preventive and corrective maintenance activities based on historical data and industry trends, subject to the approval of the Engineering and Planning Manager.
  • Plot and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules based on operational requirements.
  • Analyze technical specifications of equipment to determine maintenance requirements.
  • Initiate and develop feasibility studies for system improvements, including upgrades, rehabilitation, and procurement of additional train sets.
  • Recommend process improvement proposals based on technical evaluation and operational needs.
  • Plan and monitor maintenance KPIs for assets and manpower requirements.
  • Manage maintenance resources effectively including manpower, equipment and spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical inputs on the annual maintenance budget for review by the section head and monitor expenditures against budget.
  • Define scope of work, required resources, and estimated timelines for each maintenance activity.
  • Plan manpower requirements and coordinate assignments with the E&M Maintenance Lead.
  • Lead incident investigations on assigned system through root cause analysis.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for external emergency services and regulators.
  • Develop and update annual procurement plans for spare parts and materials.
  • Oversee and manage the overall goals and performance of team members.
  • Contribute to the technical training programs for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree graduate of Railway Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
  • PRC License Holder (except Railway Engineering courses).
  • One (1) to three (3) years of work experience as Supervisor or three (3) to five (5) years overall work experience.
