Your Role:
The Power Platform Engineer provides software development capability and specialist Microsoft Power Platform knowledge, supporting the delivery of major enhancements and day-to-day operational needs. The role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting solutions across
Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and D365.The successful candidate will champion best practices in solution design, development, and secure coding, ensuring that enhancements and operational changes meet or exceed business and customer expectations. This includes balancing strategic intent, commercial outcomes, speed, cost, and quality.
The engineer will also liaise directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps and enterprise environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and security.
- Primary responsibility will be to ensure that Dynamics 365 is aligned with business requirements and enhances operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to understand their business needs, processes, and challenges.
- Customize and configure Dynamics 365 Sales and Services module according to business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional solutions by designing and modelling processes within Dynamics 365.
- Assist in implementing Dynamics 365 solutions, ensuring smooth deployment and alignment with the organization's objectives.
- Conduct functional testing of configured solutions and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that the system meets business expectations.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the system.
- Create and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation, including business process flows and user guides.
- Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and resolve any issues or bugs encountered in the system.
- Act as a liaison between the technical team and business users, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.
- Advise on best practices and recommend system improvements, updates, or additional modules based on business needs.
Functional and Business- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and validate requirements.
- Document business processes using MIRO, ADO, user stories, process flows and functional specifications.
- Lead fit-gap analysis and provide solution recommendations aligned to platform capabilities.
- Create functional designs for Microsoft D365 CRM modules - Sales, Service, Marketing, Customer Insights etc.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance and data-governance requirements (e.g., CDR, privacy, PII).
- Prepare functional configuration documents, data dictionaries and mapping documents.
- Support change impact assessment and contribute to D365 capability roadmap.
Solution Design and Configuration- Configure Dynamics 365 CE entities, forms, views, business process flows, and model-driven app components.
- Create and update workflows, Power Automate flows, rules, and system automation.
- Design security roles, field-level security, and access controls.
- Contribute to integration design using Dataverse, APIs, Azure Integration Services, and external systems.
- Support Solution Architects with technical design inputs.
- Participate in solution estimations and planning activities.
Continuous Improvement and CRM Optimization- Assess system usage trends and identify optimization opportunities.
- Recommend improvements for UX, automation, integration, and reporting.
- Stay updated with Dynamics 365 releases, Power Platform updates, and industry trends.
- Contribute to CRM roadmap and evolution strategy.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery- Support solution deployment processes across environments (Dev Test Prod).
- Participate in release planning, cutover activities, and deployment readiness checks.
- Provide post-go-live hypercare support to resolve issues quickly.
- Contribute to operational handover documentation and KT sessions.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Prepare functional documentation, release notes, and user support materials.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including presentations and workshops.
Training and Enablement- Prepare training materials, user manuals, SOPs, and release notes.
- Conduct training sessions for end users and super users.
- Help establish CRM governance, best practices, and standards
What You Need:- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (Sales, Service, Marketing, Case Management).
- Strong understanding of CRM entities, forms, views, dashboards, security roles, and configuration.
- Experience mapping end-to-end business processes to CRM capabilities.
- Skilled in facilitating discovery workshops, requirement gathering and documentation.
- Understanding of CRM reporting, dashboards, and insights.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Conducting fit-gap analysis and recommending scalable, low-code solutions.
- Ability to design functional automation using Power Automate.
- Working knowledge of Dataverse, business rules, and model-driven apps.
- Understanding of ALM principles and deployment pipelines.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Working with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, testers, and PMs.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field.
- Formal training or demonstrable experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE.
- Strong foundation in business analysis, requirement gathering, and functional design.
