Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a Due Diligence Analyst to join our Business Development team and support our acquisition efforts. You'll be the person who turns raw, often messy information from sellers into clean, reliable financials that help us decide whether and how to move forward on a deal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build out historical financial models and summaries from information provided by sellers, including P&Ls, payroll records, billing data, and supporting schedules
  • Tie revenue to caregiver payroll to confirm that reported revenue is supported by the underlying labor costs and hours
  • Verify gross margin and total payroll, identifying discrepancies, unusual trends, or gaps in the seller's data
  • Prepare clear summaries and findings for the VP of Business Development and deal team
  • Follow up with sellers and their advisors to request missing information and clarify open items
  • Maintain organized, well-documented diligence files and workbooks for each opportunity
  • Use AI tools such as Claude to speed up data review, analysis, and documentation

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and building models from unstructured data
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile data from multiple sources
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, gross margin, and payroll fundamentals
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple diligence projects at once

Preferred

  • Experience with Claude or other AI tools in a professional or analytical setting
  • Prior experience in due diligence, transaction advisory, M&A, FP&A, or public accounting
  • Familiarity with home care, healthcare services, or other labor-driven service businesses
