Job Description

The Bonds and ECM/ETF Settlements Team performs a unique and critical process of New/Primary Issuance deal management which involves being in touch with trading/trade support team before deal execution, receiving all bookings and set of important documents for payment pack, input/release of payment, funding management, expert knowledge of different markets avenues of potential business opportunities. This function stretches beyond regular business hours and need continuous communication with sales and support team for smooth payment processing. Considering a highly reputational and time sensitive topic, excellent verbal and written communications is required to keep the stake intact. This team also give heads up to downstream settlements team across product and market as a heads up to settle on Investor trades.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the Back Office operations for Settlement under Fixed Income product for Primary New Issuance and understands the importance of TAT/SLA's and proactively works towards maintenance of the same
  • Liaise with Domestic Agents, Middle offices, Traders, Counterparties, Frankfurt, London and other internal counterparts via mail and phone to ensure smooth settlements.
  • Eye for detail to process manual payments, collection of documents and doing four eye
  • Expertise in processing in end-to-end life cycle of Trades
  • Effectively manage risks through timely and accurate escalation and resolution of key issues.
  • Manage client/SA/MO/TA escalations and mitigating the process risks
  • Responsible for responding to ad-hoc issues or client queries on a timely basis, ensuring all communications have been responded to before end of day.
  • Ensure process documentation is relevant and updated regularly for your process to audit standards.
  • Actively support transformation and/or optimization initiatives to improve the efficiency/effectiveness of process
  • Reporting Multiple MIS

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or any related course
  • Proven experience in Back Office operations for Trade Settlement under Fixed Income/Equity product and should have managed Trade operations in the past, preferably for European markets.
  • Strong knowledge of trade life cycle and good understanding of Equities product and Business and European market nuances
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Good analytical skills and troubleshooting skills
  • Amenable to mid-shift (3pm to 12mn and 4pm to 1am)
  • Amenable to hybrid working arrangement
