Job Purpose
To lead, coach, and manage the sales force in driving market share growth and achieving district business objectives through effective territory management, strong customer engagement, scientific selling activities, and highly impactful field execution, while motivating and developing representatives to consistently deliver high performance and execution excellence.
Major Accountabilities
Sales Leadership and Business Management
- Drive achievement of district sales targets, growth objectives, and key business KPIs.
- Develop and execute district business plans aligned with company objectives and strategic priorities.
- Monitor territory performance, identify gaps and opportunities, and implement appropriate action plans to improve results.
- Ensure effective execution of sales and marketing initiatives within the district.
- Analyze sales trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to support business decisions and maximize opportunities.
- Maintain strong business relationships with key healthcare professionals, trade partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
People Leadership and Performance Management
- Lead, inspire, and motivate Medical Representatives/Sales Representatives to consistently deliver high performance.
- Conduct regular fieldwork, coaching sessions, and performance discussions to strengthen selling skills, territory management, and execution discipline.
- Set clear expectations and ensure accountability for agreed objectives and standards.
- Identify development needs and provide timely coaching, guidance, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Manage performance concerns proactively, including implementation of performance improvement plans when required.
- Recognize and reinforce strong performance and positive behaviors to maintain team engagement and morale.
Operations and Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports, forecasts, and administrative requirements.
- Monitor adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and ethical practices.
- Optimize resource utilization and ensure proper management of company assets within the district.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-performing sales personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales leadership.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Mature, highly accountable, and results-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and influence teams while maintaining performance discipline and accountability.
- Strong analytical, communication, and business planning skills.
- Willing to travel extensively within the assigned district.
