Job Summary

The District Sales Manager (DSM) for the Primary Care Business Unit is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a team of Medical Representatives to achieve sales targets and business objectives across the Mindanao district. Based in Davao City, the role ensures effective execution of brand strategies, strong customer engagement, and full compliance with company policies and Philippine regulatory standards, while building a highperformance sales culture in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance & Territory Management

  • Achieve and exceed district sales targets, growth objectives, and KPIs for the Primary Care portfolio.
  • Translate regional sales strategies into clear, actionable district plans.
  • Monitor sales performance, call activity, coverage, and distribution; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Optimize territory alignment and resource deployment across Mindanao.

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Medical Representatives in the district.
  • Conduct regular field coaching, joint field work, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify training needs and support capability development in selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Customer & Market Development

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key physicians, clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Support key accounts and highpotential customers within the district.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer insights with management and crossfunctional teams.

Execution of Marketing & Brand Strategies

  • Ensure consistent and highquality execution of promotional activities, campaigns, and product launches.
  • Align field execution with approved brand strategies and messaging.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Operations to ensure availability of promotional materials and programs.

Compliance & Administrative Excellence

  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and Philippine FDA regulations.
  • Promote responsible selling practices and pharmacovigilance awareness among the team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of sales reports, forecasts, expense reports, and other administrative requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 57 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in the Philippines.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role (e.g., Senior Medical Representative, District Sales Manager).
  • Strong experience in Primary Care products (e.g., cardiovascular, diabetes, respiratory, or similar).
  • Prior experience handling Mindanao territories is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong people management, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Resultsdriven with solid analytical and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a wide geographic territory.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Mindanao.
