The Distribution Leadman supports the Distribution Supervisor in ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant distribution operations. This role involves truck scheduling, monitoring third-party truckers, maintaining ISO documentation, coordinating distribution activities, and assisting in team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Coordination
- Track the status of delivery vehicles, including new unit deliveries, repairs, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance.
- Truck Scheduling
- Schedule delivery trucks according to sales requirements (Transfer and Preload trucks).
- Assign field personnel effectively to meet operational needs.
- Expense Management
- Prepare distribution expense reimbursements, allowances, and overtime calculations accurately.
- Third-Party Truckers Monitoring
- Monitor and evaluate third-party truckers performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate with truckers on personnel, routes, and outlet coverage.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare reports on pending or unsubmitted trucker documents.
- Maintain ISO and HACCP records for the distribution section.
- Training and Orientation
- Conduct training and orientation for new and existing truckers.
- Support and Supervision
- Assist the Distribution Supervisor in daily operations and trucker contract renewals.
- Perform supervisory duties in the Supervisor's absence.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake other tasks as assigned to support distribution operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Minimum 2 years experience handling third-party truckers preferred.
- Strong skills in planning, coordination, and scheduling distribution activities.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and documentation processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
- Driving skills and valid license are an advantage.
