The
Distribution Sales Operations Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's dealer and distributor network, ensuring the efficient execution of sales processes, inventory allocation, order fulfillment, and dealer support activities. The role serves as a key link between internal departments and external distribution partners to drive sales performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred, particularly within the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution & Dealer Network Management
- Lead and support the company's distributor and dealer network to achieve sales and operational objectives.
- Monitor dealer performance, sales targets, inventory levels, and market coverage.
- Coordinate with distributors and dealerships to ensure timely vehicle allocation and delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key business partners.
- Support dealer onboarding, accreditation, and operational compliance.
Sales Operations Management
- Oversee sales administration processes, including order management, vehicle allocation, sales reporting, and documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of vehicle orders, deliveries, and inventory movements.
- Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports, forecasts, and business reviews.
- Implement sales operational procedures and process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Inventory & Supply Coordination
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure vehicle availability and timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels across distribution channels and recommend replenishment plans.
- Support demand planning and sales forecasting activities.
- Address inventory-related concerns and optimize stock distribution across dealer locations.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Operations team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Set team goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards, and service level expectations.
EV Market Development (Preferred)
- Support the rollout and operational execution of EV products across the dealer network.
- Assist dealers in understanding EV sales processes, charging solutions, and customer requirements.
- Monitor EV market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to support EV sales initiatives and campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support the implementation of new sales programs, promotions, and distribution initiatives.
- Resolve operational issues affecting dealer performance, customer satisfaction, and vehicle delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Distribution Management, Dealer Network Operations, or Automotive Sales.
- Automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in Electric Vehicles (EV), sustainable mobility, or related industries is an advantage.
- Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
- Strong knowledge of sales operations, inventory management, forecasting, and dealer management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools.
