Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade IBM DB2 databases on distributed platforms (Linux/Unix/Windows)

Manage DB2 instances, databases, and database objects

Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies

Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning

Ensure high availability and data integrity of DB2 systems

Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis

Implement security policies, user access controls, and compliance standards

Work closely with application teams for database design and optimization

Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or other tools

Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes
