Dispatch Analytics Team Leader

About the Role We are seeking a data-driven Dispatch & Analytics Team Leader to manage our real-time dispatch operations while leveraging data analytics to optimize route efficiency, response times, and resource allocation. In this role, you will lead daily dispatch operations, mentor operational staff, and use data-driven insights to streamline operational workflows and improve SLA performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee daily dispatch operations, prioritizing real-time scheduling, queue management, and route optimization.
• Dispatch Analytics & Performance: Analyze operational metrics (fleet utilization, response/delivery times, driver downtime, idle time) to identify bottlenecks and optimize dispatch efficiency.
• Team Management & Coaching: Lead, train, and support dispatchers and operational staff, establishing performance standards and continuous workflow improvements.
• Reporting: Design and maintain operational reports to give leadership clear visibility into live field metrics and historical logistics performance.
• Process Improvement: Bridge the gap between operations and analytics by turning raw dispatch data into tactical operational changes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations, combined with a strong, hands-on background in data analytics.
• Analytics & Data Skills: intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills required; proficiency in BI tools (Power BI) is a plus.
• Technical & System Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Dispatch Management Systems (DMS), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), or Transportation Management Systems (TMS), non specific.
• Problem-Solving & Agility: Strong crisis-management skills with the ability to make fast, data-informed decisions in a high-pressure, real-time environment.
• Communication: Exceptional operational communication skills to coordinate effectively between field teams, dispatch staff, and senior management.
