Director / Head of People & Culture ( Hybrid | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu City | Hybrid (IT Park) | Day Shift | Monday–Friday Reports to: The President for Philippines Operations

You sit at the heart of GoTeam's people strategy — and you will own how 1,200+ people experience working here. This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution, making it ideal for someone who can shape culture, champion compliance, and use data to drive decisions.

This is not a traditional HR generalist role. You will be the most senior HR voice in the business. You'll inherit a working HR function, a real team, and genuine momentum — and you'll be expected to take all three further, notably through our AI transition. You are the Architect and Lead Doer: you bring forward your plans, get approval, and implement them.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Administration (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including a prior Director or Head of People-level role
  • At least 5 years as an HR Manager in a BPO, tech-enabled, or outsourcing environment
  • Experience reporting to a CEO, President, or board and operating as a peer to senior leadership
  • Solid knowledge of Philippine Labor Law (DOLE regulations, Labor Code) and exposure to international employment standards
  • Proven full-lifecycle HR ownership: employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits end-to-end
  • Track record of building or substantially rebuilding an HR function — not just running one
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Sprout HR, BambooHR, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors) and HR analytics tools
  • International or multi-site exposure
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust across levels, mediate conflict, and handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy

STRONG SIGNALS

  • Proven track record of high-engagement leadership with a strong balance of Care and Compliance
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, or Tableau experience for building HR dashboards and workforce reports
  • AI or HR-tech fluency — including self-directed learning via Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, or similar platforms
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP, PHRi, CHRP, or equivalent local HR certification
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification or experience building scalable HR systems from scratch
  • Measurable retention or engagement wins in a previous role

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Culture & Employee Experience You are the steward of how it feels to work at GoTeam — not just the enforcer of policy.

  • Review, implement, and monitor compliance with all company policies, ensuring alignment with organizational values
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, mediating structured resolution sessions between employees and management
  • Manage the full disciplinary process — notices, warnings, suspensions, and terminations
  • Conduct exit interviews and translate insights into actionable retention recommendations

Performance Management You ensure every employee has clear expectations and meaningful feedback, every quarter, across every department.

  • Ensure timely completion of quarterly performance reviews by all department heads
  • Address employee appeals on evaluations or inconsistent feedback with fairness and documentation
  • Identify trends in performance data and drive upgrades to GoTeam's performance management framework
  • Reduce performance escalations through proactive manager coaching

Compliance & Legal Affairs You keep GoTeam legally sound and ahead of regulatory change.

  • Monitor adherence to Philippine Labor Laws, DOLE regulations, and applicable international employment standards
  • Conduct regular audits of workplace practices, employment records, and HR documentation
  • Handle employment-related legal matters including harassment, discrimination, and labor dispute cases
  • Ensure uniform application of HR policies across all departments and locations

HR Data & Analytics You build the dashboards the leadership team relies on and turn numbers into decisions.

  • Track and analyze HR metrics — headcount, attrition, time-to-hire, engagement — and deliver timely reports to leadership
  • Build a live HR dashboard covering attrition, headcount, engagement, and HRBP performance
  • Identify workforce trends and recommend targeted HR interventions based on data

Policy & HR Process Governance You own the SOPs and frameworks that keep HR running cleanly as GoTeam scales.

  • Create and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and process frameworks aligned with legal requirements and GoTeam's values
  • Regularly update documentation to ensure policies remain clear, relevant, and enforceable

Team Leadership & Development You build a high-performing HR team aligned with GoTeam's mission.

  • Set clear KPIs and individual development plans (IDPs) for all HR team members within 60 days
  • Conduct bi-weekly 1:1s and foster a collaborative, psychologically safe team environment
  • Coach and develop junior HR team members in their professional growth

Retention Strategy You make GoTeam a place people choose to stay.

  • Conduct regular reviews of attrition data, exit interviews, and engagement surveys to identify root causes
  • Design and implement retention programs covering career development, recognition, and employee engagement
  • Lead cross-functional investigation and resolution of escalated employee complaints, documenting all outcomes

YEAR-ONE OUTCOMES

These aren't generic OKRs. By the end of your first 12 months, you will:

  1. Cut attrition by 15% — root-cause it through exit interviews and engagement surveys; ship at least 2 new retention programs within the first 6 months.
  2. Hit 100% HR compliance — full audit completed within 90 days of joining; zero labor cases filed due to procedural lapses; 100% of employees complete policy orientation within 6 months.
  3. 100% on-time quarterly performance reviews across all departments within the first two cycles; reduce performance escalations by 20% via proactive manager coaching.
  4. Launch a live HR dashboard within 90 days covering attrition, headcount, engagement, and HRBP performance; present monthly to leadership with zero missed deadlines.
  5. +10% engagement scores YoY through at least 3 structured initiatives covering recognition, wellness, and career development; minimum 80% survey participation.
  6. Build a high-performing HR team — 100% of team members on documented KPIs and IDPs within 60 days; at least 80% hitting or exceeding quarterly targets.
