JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Client Relations is a senior, externally facing role responsible for shaping, influencing, and managing the company's most critical relationships across government, regulatory bodies, and key industry stakeholders. This role goes beyond traditional account management and requires a highly capable individual who can actively influence outcomes, navigate complex political and commercial environments, and operate with a high degree of judgement and discretion.
The successful candidate will be expected to represent the company at the highest levels, manage sensitive and high-stakes interactions, and build deep, trust-based relationships across both formal and informal environments. They must be confident engaging stakeholders in a wide range of settings, including situations where relationship management, persuasion, and influence are key to achieving business objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, manage, and strategically influence senior stakeholder relationships across government departments, regulators, and industry entities.
- Act as the primary interface for high-level engagement, shaping discussions, aligning interests, and driving outcomes in line with company objectives.
- Lead and support complex negotiations, ensuring alignment between regulatory expectations, operational realities, and commercial priorities.
- Represent the company in both formal engagements and informal settings where trust-building, discretion, and influence are critical.
- Navigate politically sensitive and high-pressure situations, using judgement and interpersonal skills to secure positive outcomes.
- Develop a deep understanding of stakeholder structures, motivations, and internal dynamics to inform engagement strategies.
- Proactively identify risks, resistance points, and opportunities, adjusting approach to maintain alignment and momentum.
- Act as a trusted escalation point for senior stakeholders, managing issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Handle confidential discussions and sensitive information with the highest level of integrity.
- Provide leadership with insight into stakeholder sentiment, risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Support internal teams in aligning delivery with external expectations, ensuring consistency and credibility in all interactions.
JOB COMPETENCIES:
- 10+ years of experience in senior client management, government relations, or stakeholder engagement roles.
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and operate effectively at senior government and corporate levels.
- Strong understanding of political, regulatory, and organizational dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, high-profile, or complex stakeholder environments.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt style based on audience and context.
- Fluency in both Tagalog and English.
- Previous experience working with government bodies is highly advantageous.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
