Job Description

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Philippines (Remote)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm EST

Salary Range: $1,700 - $2,500 per month

They offer a virtual hybrid class, which combines their traditional Catholic school with an online platform, teaching both on-campus and off-campus students simultaneously.

About the Role

The Director of Academic Strategy & Curriculum will lead the strategic redesign and implementation of the Grades 7–12 academic framework across international secondary education programs in the U.S. and France. This role is responsible for developing a vertically aligned curriculum that integrates U.S. state academic standards, French national education standards, CEFR language proficiency benchmarks, international accreditation requirements, and structured dual enrollment pathways with higher education institutions. The position will oversee the creation of three formal academic tracks, General Academic, Technological, and Vocational, while driving long-term academic systems architecture, curriculum alignment, and cross-campus educational strategy.

Responsibilities

1. Secondary Academic Architecture (Grades 7–12)

  • Redesign the full 7–12 scope and sequence
  • Define grade-level learning objectives
  • Establish pacing guides by subject
  • Ensure vertical alignment from Grade 7 through Grade 12
  • Align senior-year coursework to college readiness standards

2. Cross-System Standards Alignment

  • Develop formal documentation aligning curriculum to Florida BEST standards, French Cycle 4 and Lycée objectives, CEFR benchmarks (A1–B2 progression), and ARC standards

3. Three-Pathway Program Design (Grades 9–12)

  • Design General Academic, Technological, and Vocational pathways with defined graduation requirements and competency benchmarks

4. Dual Enrollment Integration with St. Thomas Aquinas College

  • Develop eligibility criteria
  • Identify approved course offerings
  • Align senior-year courses with freshman expectations
  • Define transcript articulation and credit mapping
  • Ensure faculty qualification compliance
  • Establish governance structure for dual enrollment

5. Course Framework Development

  • Develop standardized course templates
  • Create course descriptions and learning outcomes
  • Define major assignments and assessment structures
  • Build model syllabi for key foundational courses
  • Ensure credit-hour and instructional-time compliance

6. Assessment & Academic Integrity Framework

  • Implement Grade 9 Oral Defense
  • Establish Grade 12 Capstone Project
  • Standardize writing rubrics
  • Modernize transcript structure

7. Implementation & Faculty Guidance

  • Provide faculty training
  • Establish syllabus review process
  • Standardize documentation
  • Develop revision cycles and quality control procedures

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Experience working with academic accreditation processes
  • 5+ years experience in:
  • Academic administration
  • Curriculum
  • Registrar's office
  • Higher-education operations
  • Excellent English writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, project-management, and deadline-tracking abilities.
  • Experience with Canvas or other LMS platforms (or ability to learn quickly).
  • High-level proficiency in Google Workspace / MS Office.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience supporting accreditation documentation or self-study reports.
  • Experience building academic programs or curriculum structures teacher education degree programs
  • Experience with LMS instructional design for higher education
  • Experience with SIS platforms.
