The Opportunity:
As Director, Facilities Operations, you will lead the workplace and facilities strategy across OpenText's APJ (Asia Pacific & Japan) portfolio. In this senior leadership role, you will help shape high-performing, safe, and engaging work environments that support business growth and employee experience. You will partner with leaders across the region to drive operational excellence, oversee major workplace initiatives, manage strategic vendor relationships, and ensure facilities operations align with global standards. This is an opportunity to influence real estate and workplace decisions at a regional level while leading a geographically diverse team.
You are Great At:
- Developing and executing regional facilities and workplace strategies that support business growth and workforce needs.
- Leading facilities operations across multiple countries, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality workplace experiences.
- Building strong relationships with business stakeholders and advising leaders on space planning, workplace optimization, and portfolio decisions.
- Managing operating and capital budgets, driving financial accountability, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Overseeing major workplace projects including office buildouts, relocations, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Driving vendor performance and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and business outcomes.
- Leading teams through change while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee-centric service.
What it Takes:
- 12+ years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, corporate real estate, or a related field, including leadership of regional teams.
- Proven experience developing workplace and facilities strategies in a global, matrixed organization.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget ownership, forecasting, business case development, and vendor management.
- Experience leading capital projects, workplace transformations, space planning, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
- Working knowledge of facilities compliance, workplace health and safety, business continuity, and risk management practices.
- Experience using workplace technologies, IWMS platforms, analytics tools, and data-driven decision-making approaches.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders across diverse cultures and markets.
