About Our Client
Our client is a large Singapore-based nonprofit organization operating in the social sector. With several thousand employees across multiple entities and locations, the organization plays a significant community role and is continuing to strengthen its operating model, people practices, and leadership bench.
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a senior HR leader to join in a pivotal full-time role. This person will work closely with the current senior HR leader and support the leadership of a sizeable HR function serving a large and diverse workforce.
The role requires someone who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on, and who brings both people leadership and operational credibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership across the human resources function within a large, complex organization
- Partner closely with senior leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational priorities
- Lead and strengthen HR operations, ensuring effective execution across teams and processes
- Oversee and support specialist HR functions, including areas such as talent acquisition, learning and development, and employee services
- Support workforce management across a large employee population spanning multiple sites and service environments
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and operational teams
- Engage confidently with external and public-facing stakeholders where required
- Contribute to organizational development, process improvement, and modernization efforts, including more efficient and technology-enabled ways of working
- Operate effectively in a structured, governance-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders
- Support partnership with China-based partners
Candidate Profile
You will be a fit for the role if you bring:
- Significant senior HR leadership experience
- Proven experience managing HR in large workforce environments, preferably with several thousand employees
- Strong breadth across HR operations, with the ability to balance strategic leadership and day-to-day operational realities
- A people-centric, mature, and credible leadership style
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and presenting in formal settings
- Experience in organizations with decentralized operations
- Exposure to public sector, nonprofit, social sector, or similarly structured environments as an advantage
- Comfort working with broad-based, frontline, operational, or service-oriented employee populations
- Fluency in Chinese is a must
- An appreciation for local operating context and mission-driven environments
