Role: Head of Category Management

Location: Remote - WFH

Client Hours: 40 hrs per week. - 9 am - 5.30 pm - PERTH TIME.

Region: Perth, Australia

Monthly Salary: 80k-$120k php Quarterly Bonus + Paid Leave Allowance + Perks

Contract: Independent Contractor - Ongoing

Our Client

Our client is a leading gold mining operation based in Western Australia, supporting large-scale mining and processing activities across multiple sites. The business specialises in the extraction and production of gold, underpinned by a strong focus on operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement

You will need experience leading tenders, supplier negotiations for mining, resrouces and equipment.

The Role

As a Category Specialist, you will lead sourcing events, support vendor management, and oversee 

contract changes and renewals. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver commercial value 

while ensuring procurement governance is upheld.

•  Plan and implement strategic sourcing, category and supplier management plans.
• Manage end-to-end tender processes where spend requires a formal tender process.
• Lead contract negotiations for new contracts, renewals and amendments or extensions.
• Advanced data analysis for new contracts, renewals and amendments or extensions. 
• Category planning with a focus on aligning supplier spend to strategic objectives and KPIs.
• Development and delivery of category reporting and procurement insights.
• Support project and equipment procurement, including supplier prequalification and order placement.
• Ability to work with legal terms to develop and 

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement / Category Management in (UK/U.S/AUS/UAE)
• 4+ years of experience with MS Office - expert level on Excel
• 4+ years of experience leading tender submissions end-to-end.
