Director / Associate Director, Origination & Distribution Asia

Purpose

• Coordinate and execute the distribution of syndicated loans in primary and secondary markets with a focus on Asian investors
• Engage with and build trusted relationships with loan investors in Asia and gather feedback for risk appetite on loans
• Share loan market insights and trends of key global markets (Australia, NZ, US, UK, Europe and Asia)
• Provide loan structuring advice to corporate clients in collaboration with Origination & Distribution teams in Australia, NZ, US, UK and Europe, supporting the winning of Loan Markets mandates
• Contribute to a seamless and co-ordinated approach across debt capital markets and loan markets origination and execution, positioning NAB best with customers in collaboration with C&IB client coverage and other product specialists
• Provide guidance and expert advice to internal stakeholders on (i) market liquidity for underwriting and arranging loans; & (ii) pricing, terms and conditions for loans
• Identify origination opportunities and consider innovative ways to meet clients future needs across jurisdictions
• Develop capability across the global Origination & Distribution franchise through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Foster collaboration across Coverage, Risk and other product partners, globally, to deliver enterprise outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to maximising shareholder value and managing NAB's brand and reputation in market
• Deliver on the Institutional Origination, including transformation and simplification initiatives
• Strong risk management practices through effective management of transaction, underwriting and execution activities
• Collaborate across the NAB to maximise the effectiveness of enterprise objectives and deliverables
• Work collaboratively across C&IB to deliver the broader CMOD strategy and customer outcomes

Experience

• 8+ years experience in banking and finance with a depth and breadth of experience across relationship banking and financial products
• Deep understanding of the Corporate and Institutional Origination client base (issuers and investors) and product offering
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the financial services risk and control environment and regulatory requirements
• Familiar with how to leverage digital and data to optimise for long term success

Qualification requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and post graduate qualifications. Regulatory approvals as required
