Job Title: Direct Response Video Editor (Paid Social)
Type of Employment: Full-time
Shift Schedule: 1:00PM - 9:00PM PST (5:00AM - 1:00PM PHT)
We're hiring a performance-focused Direct Response Video Editor (Paid Social) responsible for producing high-converting direct response ad creatives, including UGC-style short-form ads, short-form performance ads, VSLs, and AI-enhanced / AI-generated creatives. This is an output-driven role where success is measured by speed, quality, consistency, and the ability to improve creatives based on performance feedback.
About the Employer
The client is a fast-growing direct response eCommerce brand specializing in the dental cosmetic niche. They create high-volume UGC, VSL, and AI-powered ad creatives for eCommerce brands focused on measurable results.
Objective of this Role
- Produce a minimum of 3 conversion-focused ad creatives every week
- Improve creative performance over time through iteration, testing, and feedback loops
- Execute creative briefs with precision and deliver on time, every time
- Use AI tools to accelerate production and expand creative output
- Become a reliable core team member who takes ownership and contributes ideas
Responsibilities
- Edit a minimum of 3 complete ad projects per week, including:
- 1 full edit (minimum 1 minute)
- 35 hook variations per project
- Edit both short-form UGC performance ads and VSLs
- Incorporate AI tools into workflow (voice, avatars, scripts, enhancements, variations, etc.)
- Follow creative briefs precisely and maintain brand alignment
- Deliver assets on time; implement revisions quickly and efficiently
- Continuously optimize based on performance feedback (hooks, pacing, retention, CTA clarity)
- Maintain organized project files, naming conventions, and version control for rapid iteration
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience editing direct response / paid social performance creatives (required)
Strong understanding of:
- Hooks and thumb-stopping openings
- Retention pacing and pattern interrupts
- On-screen text strategy, subtitles, and readability
- Conversion-first structure and CTA execution
Experience editing:
- UGC ads
- VSLs (Video Sales Letters)
- AI-generated / AI-enhanced ad creatives
Proficiency with tools such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro (strong)
- After Effects (working proficiency)
- AI tools (e.g., VEO3, ElevenLabs, HiggsField, ChatGPT, NanoBanana, etc.)
- Comfortable analyzing performance data and extracting actionable insights
- Fast, reliable computer capable of heavy video workflows + stable high-speed internet
- Strong English communication (written and verbal)
- Industry experience required (eCommerce)

- Strong creative strategy instincts (can propose angles, hooks, and iterations proactively)
- Highly autonomous: self-managed, ownership-driven, and thrives without micromanagement
- Experience scaling creative output with structured testing (iterations, refreshes, rapid variants)
