About the Role
We are seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) focused Performance Designer. This is not a role for a portfolio designer, brand designer, or Figma file polisher who builds pretty visuals for the sake of it. We need a data-driven builder who opens split-test data first thing Monday morning, reads Voice of Customer (VoC) research before designing, and ships Page Designsthat actively move conversion rates (CVR) and business revenue. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing Operations, you will act as a critical player in turning abstract optimization hypotheses into high-throughput revenue assets.
What you'll do
- Conversion Optimization: Serve as a core engine for driving sales volume and actively increasing Average Order Value (AOV)across all digital touchpoints .
- Performance Funnel Design: Design and iterate native-ad style advertorials, reasons-why pages, and comprehensive multi-step landing funnels for cold paid traffic
- Rapid Component Prototyping: Build and rapidly deploy variations of Product Detail Pages (PDPs) aimed at testing structural CVR lift rather than superficial redesigns
- AI Asset Synthesis: Deeply integrate AI imagery workflows (Midjourney, ChatGPT, etc.) into your design cycle to produce rapid visual variations and speed up throughput
- VoC Alignment: Consume and translate qualitative Voice of Customer data (including dedicated Reddit product threads) into actionable landing page layouts. (Which would be provided by the marketing team)
- Hypothesis Testing: Contribute heavily to systematic A/B tests backed by real analytical data and customer psychology, completely avoiding design updates based on vibes.
What You Bring
- Proven Direct Response Track Record: 3 to 10 years of intensive experience explicitly in UX/UI performance design, growth design, or dedicated CRO functions.
- DTC/E-Commerce Domain Expertise: Deep, recent operating experience inside high-performing direct-to-consumer environments running on Shopify or WooCommerce.
- Figma Masterclass: Complete structural fluency in Figma with clean, seamless developer handoff architecture
- AI Tool Profficiency: deployment of ChatGPT and Claude inside your weekly design workflow. Bonus proficiency: Midjourney, Cursor, Lovable, Replo, or Figma AI
- Mindset & Intangibles:
- An aggressive ownership mindset (I shipped X vs The team did Y), high-velocity throughput comfort, and clear, structured asynchronous written communication.
- Must possess push-back energy to challenge weak briefs constructively.
- Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in written and verbal English is strictly required
- Work Set-Up Requirements:
- Amenable to fully remote setup but requires a deliberate, flexible working schedule to facilitate clear timezone overlap with both US and European operational hours.
- Strict Exclusions (Hard Passes):
- No B2B or SaaS platform/product design experience will be considered.
- No pure static ad builders (e.g., individuals whose primary experience is restricted to building social media ad graphics for Meta or Google).
- No traditional brand layout designers who prioritize aesthetics over raw analytical performance metrics.
