Digital Transformation Business & Functional Associate

About the Role

At KPMG in the Philippines, we help organizations transform how they operate, make decisions, and deliver value through technology and innovation. As a Digital Transformation – Business & Functional Associate, you will help bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.

You will work closely with clients and KPMG teams to understand business challenges, analyze processes, define requirements, and translate business needs into practical digital and technology solutions.

You will be exposed to a wide range of transformation initiatives, including business process transformation, digital strategy, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, intelligent automation, enterprise applications, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct business and functional requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs, and document analysis.
• Analyze current-state business processes, identify pain points and inefficiencies, and develop recommendations for process improvement and digital enablement.
• Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps, business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, and other solution documentation.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements and solution designs that can be understood by technical development teams.
• Support the identification and assessment of opportunities for AI, automation, analytics, workflow, and other digital solutions.
• Assist in developing digital transformation roadmaps, business cases, solution options, and implementation plans.
• Work closely with developers, data specialists, enterprise application consultants, and other technology specialists to ensure that proposed solutions address business requirements.
• Participate in solution design sessions, prototyping, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities.
• Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria and support defect management and resolution.
• Facilitate client workshops and present findings, process designs, requirements, and recommendations to business and technology stakeholders.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry practices to identify opportunities for client transformation.
• Support proposal development, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and other business development activities.
• Prepare high-quality client deliverables, presentations, reports, process documentation, and executive materials.
• Support project management activities, including work planning, status reporting, issue tracking, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Accountancy, Finance, or other relevant disciplines.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, functional consulting, technology consulting, process improvement, or digital transformation are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of business processes, requirements analysis, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and structured functional requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Strong interest in technology and its application to solve business problems.
• Ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel when required by client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis, functional consulting, systems analysis, or technology implementation.
• Familiarity with BPMN, process mapping, user stories, use cases, requirements traceability, and functional specifications.
• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, Design Thinking, Lean, or similar methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, SAP or other enterprise/digital platforms.
• Exposure to AI, GenAI, automation, data analytics, or cloud technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or other business analysis certifications are an advantage.
