Position Overview
The Channel Lead Digital/Social (Content Marketing) is responsible for developing and executing Optum Rx's digital and social content strategy across B2B, B2C, and B2Provider audiences. This role drives channel innovation, content excellence, and performance optimization across paid and owned platforms. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with handson experience in digital content planning, social media management, and crossfunctional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of digital and social content initiatives for Optum Rx across multiple audience segments (B2B, B2C, B2Provider).
- Define channel-specific best practices, governance frameworks, and performance standards to ensure consistency and impact.
Content Development & Channel Management
- Oversee the planning, development, and distribution of content for paid and owned social and digital campaigns in partnership with creative and brand teams.
- Manage and optimize the digital/social content calendar to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across platforms.
- Drive innovation in content creation through the use of AI tools, automation capabilities, and emerging digital technologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with marketing, product, creative, and analytics teams to align content with brand positioning, messaging priorities, and campaign objectives.
- Ensure digital and social content integrates seamlessly with broader marketing plans and audience journeys.
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor channel performance metrics, analyze results, and generate actionable insights to drive engagement, efficiency, and ROI.
- Continuously test and refine content formats, messaging approaches, and channel strategies based on data-driven learning.
Qualifications
Required
- 35+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content operations.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, paid media strategies, and digital content best practices.
- Experience using content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with AI-based content tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, or highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate content solutions using AI/automation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience translating metrics into insights and recommendations.
