Description:

The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for banking and payment business (BPS) in the Philippines for Thales Digital and Identity Security (DIS) Global Business Unit (GBU). BPS customers include financial institutions, neobanks/fintechs, and retail industry segments. The Digital Sales Manager acts as a customer advocate, working with internal teams to ensure that client needs are understood and fulfilled. This role is responsible for winning new sales, overseeing execution and delivery of Thales goods and services, handling complaints, collecting and analyzing data, and improving the overall customer experience.

Position within Organization:

The Digital Sales Manager reports directly to the BPS Country Sales Manager Philippines within the BPS organization in AMEA.

Key Figures:

  • Manage direct customers with an annual revenue > 5M.

Context (Challenges, Specific Issues):

  • Individual contributor role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to work with a matrix team structure across multiple geographical areas, such as France, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.

Missions and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for meeting and exceeding digital sales revenue goals for the market.
  • Identify, develop, and win new digital sales opportunities, acquiring a thorough understanding of customer needs by proposing all BPS offers that meet their objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of markets, customers, and competitors to identify opportunities and drive sales.
  • Build and promote strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs.
  • Conduct market research, analyze trends, competitors, and customer data.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, distribution channels, technology trends, and customer buying patterns.
  • Manage complete and complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Resolve any issues or problems faced by customers and address complaints to maintain trust.
  • Serve as the communication link between customers and internal teams.
  • Expand current contracts with new services and use cases.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction levels to ensure successful contract renewals.
  • Conduct regular account planning and develop a strategic long-term relationship with key customers.

Profile (Experience and Competencies, Rated 1-3: Basic: 1, Master: 2, Expertise: 3):

  • Proven experience as a digital sales/account manager in the banking and payment industry.
  • Background in the payment processing industry with a minimum of 5 years of account management experience in the payment processing segment and/or digital payment transaction domain.
  • Existing knowledge of the digital payment ecosystem and stakeholders in the Philippines is strongly preferred.
  • An existing network with banks in the Philippines and key decision-makers is a key advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, sales, or marketing field.
  • A good understanding of technically complex products/services.
  • Willingness to be involved in details to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sound commercial knowledge, including oral and written presentation, risk management, legal contracts, price negotiation, strategic sales and marketing planning, and other areas, with a deep customer understanding and the ability to close complex negotiations.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory.
