The Digital Project Specialist partners with Business teams and GMSS stakeholders to deliver
3M website projects through both the current and streamlined Web Experience delivery
approaches. The role ensures projects are delivered in line with business requirements,
3M.com standards, and GMSS governance.
The primary responsibility is to manage the build, enhancement, and publishing of 3M.com
pages and related digital experiences. The role is expected to manage the delivery of target
number of web pages, with accountability for each assigned deliverable from requirements
gathering and project briefing through development, review, approval, publication, and post. launch activities.
A secondary responsibility is to provide UX leadership and consultation by helping Business
teams define website needs, evaluate existing 3M solutions and site experiences, and develop
clear, user-centered recommendations.
Target number of pages:
• 3M.com domain + non 3M.com domain using the current experience: 100 pages
- Background: The former CW completed 73 pages, mainly due to the Solventum spin
off and other business needs. There may be additional requests for similar updates
before we migrate to the streamlined experience. These requests may arise
regardless of whether the existing pages have already been updated.
- However, these updates are generally very simple, such as text updates or image
replacements.
- After the existing pages are migrated to the streamlined experience, the number of
pages requiring updates will be significantly reduced, and future updates will be
limited.
• 3M.com domain using the new experience: 15 pages
• Non 3M.com domain using the new experience: 10 pages
- The schedule has not yet been confirmed, and the priority is currently low, but the
work may take place within the next year. If it does not occur during the contracted
period, the CW will not be expected to support it.
