THE OPPORTUNITY

The Digital Marketing Lead (International) is responsible for designing and executing digital strategies to support the business development goals of our fundraising markets (UK, US, HK and AU) and B2B (Business to Business) digital marketing generally. The role is accountable for digital outcomes that enable business development teams to better engage with philanthropy audiences, government funders and institutional donors, trusts and foundations including family offices, corporate partners, and high net worth individuals, in the service of growing fundraising from these sources. It is a hands-on role that will include leading content creation and publishing, platform management including websites, campaign and digital advertising management including LinkedIn, EDM and other channels, supported by a team of digital specialists based in Australia. Focusing on clear goals but having an agile and entrepreneurial approach on how to achieve them, the Digital Marketing Lead (International) will work to grow fundraising from our B2B audiences and deepen reach into their very specifically targeted segments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic alignment of digital activity to market B2B goals: building on work that has already been done, develop and maintain marketing personas and a cross-market plan for growing and influencing key audiences using digital. Serve as digital account management for the philanthropy teams and International Market Leads, and digital strategic advisor to the International Market teams.
  • International web presence including SEO: Support the Global website asset suite. Grow visibility especially internationally, including by writing content and/or briefing content into AU based writer, feature improvement and issue resolution, search visibility improvement and web publishing as well as working with local language publishers.
  • Campaign and advertising management: Define and execute on proactive digital marketing campaigns to support B2B goals. This could include SEM, social advertising campaigns, EDM campaigns including simple automations and journeys, lead generation pilots that lead to scalable direction.
  • Global LinkedIn strategy: In partnership with the Social Media Specialist and philanthropy, and communications teams, establish a LinkedIn strategy giving new purpose to the platform: to support International Business Development. Lead a working group to collaboratively maintain content, community and advertising strategies for the platform.
  • Reporting and measurement: Establish a lean reporting framework. Report and present results. Ensure all work is linked to improving metrics, and that these metrics are meaningfully linked to International Market goals. Ensure that planned and requested tasks and activity are strategic if it doesn't move the needle, we should ask why we are doing it.
  • Other B2B support opportunities, such as support for in-country government advocacy in the countries where we work.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Strong experience in digital marketing roles
  • Experience in B2B digital marketing in some of the markets we work (US, AU, UK, HK) would be ideal
  • Experience overseeing paid campaigns across video, social, search and display platforms
  • Experience in website publishing and CMS operation
  • Experience creating and sending EDMs and building simple automations
  • Experience using digital platforms Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, CMS
  • Experience writing digital plans and strategies, reports and presentation of these
