The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Analyst is responsible for supporting the management of the metadata of all digital assets (images/photography, video, documents, etc.) across the company. The DAM Specialist will review the assets, ensuring the best practices and processes set in place are upheld to ensure the most efficient use of the system. They will assist in organization assets, creating and maintaining relationships between assets, enforcing naming taxonomies and metadata schema, and tagging files with relevant and accurate metadata.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and organizing assets within the DAM and portals
- Help ensure assets follow established naming conventions, taxonomy, and governance standards
- Support asset uploads, metadata tagging, and basic quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Provide user support to stakeholders, including basic guidance on how to access, search for, and use assets
- Respond to user questions and troubleshoot common DAM-related issues in coordination with the wider team
- Support administrative and operational tasks related to asset management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Digital Media, Library and Information Science is a plus.
- Familiarity or experience with any Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool (e.g., OpenText, Aprimo, or similar platforms) is a plus
- Proficient in using spreadsheets, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Smartsheet.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Basic organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable working with digital files and web-based platforms
