Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Acquisition Manager to own performance marketing across paid social and paid search, and to turn campaign and content data into decisions the wider team can act on. You'll run day-to-day media buying on Meta and Google, know what creative and content is converting and why, and use AI tools both to work faster on the marketing side (analysis, reporting, optimisation) and to help produce and iterate on ad creative and graphics. A Graphic Designer will report into you to help execute that creative.

This is a hands-on role: you will be in the ad accounts yourself, not only briefing an agency. It suits someone who wants to own a channel end-to-end, from budget and bidding through to the creative that runs in it.

This role sits within the Manila team and works closely with Australia-based leadership and compliance stakeholders across time zones — comfort with remote, cross-time-zone collaboration and asynchronous reporting is important, since the campaigns being run target the Australian market even though the role itself is based in Manila.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, launch and optimise paid acquisition campaigns across Meta and Google Ads (and other channels as the mix evolves), owning budget allocation, bidding strategy and account structure.
  • Track performance against CPA, ROAS, CAC and LTV targets, and report on channel and campaign performance to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Analyse which content, creative angles and formats are performing (and which aren't) across paid and organic, and turn that into a clear brief for what to produce next.
  • Direct and prioritise the work of the Graphic Designer, briefing creative for campaigns, translating performance data into creative direction, and giving feedback that improves conversion.
  • Use AI tools to work faster and better in the role itself — campaign analysis and reporting, ad copy generation and testing, audience/creative insight — and to support graphic and image production alongside the designer.
  • Manage tracking, attribution and measurement hygiene (pixels, conversion APIs, UTM discipline) in partnership with any analytics/BI function, so reported numbers can be trusted.
  • Keep on top of platform policy changes for Meta and Google as they affect a wagering advertiser, and work with compliance/legal to ensure all campaigns meet regulatory and platform certification requirements (see Compliance note below).
  • Manage relationships with any external media, creative or affiliate agencies/partners, holding them to the same performance and compliance standard as in-house work.
  • Own the paid acquisition budget: forecasting, pacing spend, and making the call on where marginal budget delivers the best return.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in any marketing related field

Experience

  • 3–6+ years in performance/digital marketing with direct, hands-on experience managing meaningful budgets in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (not just briefing others to do it).

Skills

  • Strong with the numbers: comfortable in a dashboard or spreadsheet, and able to explain what's working and why in plain terms to non-marketers.
  • A good eye for content and creative — can identify why a piece of creative is or isn't working, and brief a designer clearly off the back of that.
  • Genuinely fluent with AI tools in a marketing context (e.g. ChatGPT/Claude for analysis, reporting and copy; AI image/creative tools such as Midjourney, Canva AI or similar) — able to show how you've used them to get more done, not just that you've tried them.
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report, or clearly ready to step into that.
  • Prior experience in iGaming, or another tightly regulated advertising category (alcohol, finance, pharma) is a strong advantage given the compliance load in this role.
  • Comfortable operating with a good degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Australian market and consumer behaviour despite being based in Manila — prior experience marketing to AU audiences is preferred.
