DevOps Engineer - Hybrid

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Operations Specialist to join our engineering team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of DevOps and technical administration — you will help maintain our deployment pipelines, cloud environment, and internal systems, while also supporting day-today operational tasks such as managing customer records in the backend, handling internal tool requests, and ensuring smooth technical workflows across the organization. Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Assist in managing and monitoring CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Support cloud infrastructure setup, maintenance, and cost optimization on AWS.
• Help maintain server uptime, perform routine health checks, and respond to basic alerts and incidents.
• Assist in writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code scripts (e.g., Bash, Terraform, or similar).
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot deployment issues and improve release processes.
• Contribute to documentation of infrastructure setups, processes, and runbooks.

Technical & Administrative Support

• Perform backend administrative tasks such as updating, correcting, or managing customer records and data entries.
• Handle internal tool access requests, user account provisioning, and permission management.
• Provide first-level technical support to internal team members for tools, devices, and systems.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining internal IT assets and software licenses.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while managing communication with affected stakeholders.
• Support the Head of Tech with operational reporting, documentation, and ad hoc technical tasks.

AI, LLM & Emerging Technology

• Leverage AI-assisted vibe coding tools such as Claude, Gemini, and Antigravity to accelerate scripting, automate repetitive tasks, and build internal tooling efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

• 1–2 years of experience in a DevOps, IT support, or technical operations role.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control (Git).
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, or similar core services).
• Comfortable working with command-line interfaces (Linux/Bash).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and document processes.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a secondary cloud environment.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth tech environment.
• Familiarity with database querying (SQL) for backend data management tasks.
• Basic scripting ability in Python or Bash for automation.
