Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting multiple environments across cloud and hybrid infrastructures, with a primary focus on Akamai, Azure, and modern DevOps practices. This role combines system administration, platform engineering, and solution design to support high-availability systems and drive continuous improvement across deployments, automation, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Design and implement solutions in Azure, collaborating with engineering teams on new and existing system architectures.
- Work closely with expert engineers to enhance infrastructure and operations using DevOps principles.
- Serve as an escalation point for builds, deployments, and infrastructure issues across teams.
- Support ongoing maintenance of platforms, products, and services, including improvements to monitoring and cloud solutions.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Manage and maintain Akamai, Azure APIM, AKS, and related systems.
- Apply best practices for Linux/UNIX deployments, cloud operations, and system reliability.
- Take ownership of features from concept to production and drive operational excellence.
- Maintain strong documentation, ensure operational compliance, and support process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Akamai, Azure APIM, and AKS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Strong background in Linux/UNIX systems administration.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of private cloud, IaaS, and PaaS models.
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to own features end-to-end and drive implementation.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Commitment to DevOps operational best practices.
