Job Summary
The Device Management & Reverse Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, movement, maintenance, and accountability of GPS devices under the E-TRACC program. This role leads the Inventory, Device Technician, and Reverse Logistics teams to ensure devices are tracked, maintained, retrieved, and deployed efficiently, while enforcing company policies and ensuring high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
o Manage and oversee the following functional teams:
▪ Inventory Team – Handles GPS device tracking, delivery scheduling, and pick-up assignments via Reverse Logistics.
▪ Device Technician Team – Performs inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of GPS devices.
▪ Reverse Logistics Team – Executes delivery and retrieval of GPS devices or related E-TRACC assets to designated destinations.
o Assign workloads, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to team members.
2. Asset Tracking & Control
o Develop and implement systems and processes to improve GPS device tracking, accountability, and retrieval efficiency.
o Maintain accurate records of all device movements, including delivery, retrieval, and maintenance logs.
3. Policy Enforcement & Accountability
o Enforce company policies related to device handling, transport, and security.
o Hold teams accountable for GPS devices under their responsibility.
4. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Resolution
o Investigate issues related to device loss, malfunction, or operational failure.
o Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.
5. Capacity Planning & Resource Allocation o Assess workload requirements and determine optimal staffing levels. o Allocate manpower and resources to meet operational demands efficiently.
6. Reporting & Communication
o Clearly articulate the current status and location of all devices when requested.
o Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, device condition, and reverse logistics performance.
7. Operational Excellence
o Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure smooth integration of device management processes with overall E-TRACC operations.
o Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce losses, and extend device lifespan.
8. Other Duties
o Perform additional responsibilities as may be assigned by immediate superior.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in asset management, logistics, or device maintenance operations.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of reverse logistics and inventory control systems.
• Analytical mindset with proven experience in conducting root cause analysis.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide clear reports and updates.
• High level of accountability and integrity in asset management.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking devices and related technology is an advantage.
