Description
As a member of the Development team, the Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and communicating business requirements for assigned product development, product maintenance, and support activities, as well as contributing to the design and realization of solutions to agreed requirements. The role spans the full product development lifecycle. The position involves close interaction with support teams, consultants, product management, product architects, developers, other business analysts, quality assurance, and technical writers. The Business Analyst is expected to possess a hands-on understanding of product functionality and end‑user needs.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
- Gather, analyze, and communicate business requirements, including regulatory and statutory
compliance needs.
- Participate in development planning activities with the delivery team.
- Ensure product designs align with and fulfill defined business and functional requirements.
- Provide design inputs and functional guidance to support implementation, quality, and delivery
throughout the development lifecycle.
- Review and contribute to product release documentation, such as Configuration Guides and
Integration Guides.
- Support product maintenance and production support activities.
- Investigate, validate, and help prioritize the resolution of reported defects.
- Act as a cross-functional team member collaborating closely with development, QA, and
stakeholders.
- Provide domain and product knowledge to support the development team.
- Perform and support testing activities, including integration, functional, regression, and smoke
testing, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using, supporting, or testing ERP software.
- Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, analysis, and testing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or electronic messaging service (i.e. ISO
standards, SEPA credit transfer and debit transfer, tax reporting).
- Experience working in agile project.
- Background on finance or accounting.
