Job Summary:
An experienced technician who independently delivers advanced desktop support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Independently resolve complex desktop issues.
- Perform hardware/software installations and upgrades.
- Conduct regular system maintenance and patching.
- Set up new desktops and peripheral equipment.
- Ensure detailed issue documentation.
- Informally assist less experienced staff when needed.
- Minimize escalation through deeper troubleshooting.
- Engage with IT peers for advanced issues.
Skills Requirements:
- Advanced troubleshooting in enterprise desktop environments.
- Experience with imaging and endpoint config tools (e.g., SCCM/MDT).
- Strong AD and OS management familiarity.
- Independent issue resolution, even in complex scenarios.
- Basic scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication and accountability.
- Recognizes patterns and proposes efficiency improvements.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma required. Associate degree or relevant IT certifications (A+, MD-100/101) preferred. Ongoing technical training encouraged.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or move objects.
- Visual acuity required for screen-based tasks and data review.
- Ability to type and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
- May occasionally require bending or crawling to access hardware.
- Consistent attendance is a critical function of the role.
