Job Description
Design Technology Coordinator - BIM
LOCATION: Remote in Manila with Vancouver working hours coverage
About the role
M Moser Associates is seeking a hands-on BIM and Revit specialist to strengthen design technology capability across the Vancouver studio. The coordinator will help designers resolve day-to-day model and drawing issues, support effective collaboration in Autodesk Forma (Construction Cloud), deliver practical training, and implement the methods, templates and technical guidance established by the North America Design Technology Lead.
This is a studio-wide technical support and capability-building position. It supports multiple teams and helps improve how they work.
What you will do
- Provide responsive, hands-on Revit and BIM support across multiple Vancouver projects.
- Diagnose and resolve model performance issues, worksharing conflicts, linked-model errors, family and parameter problems, schedule inconsistencies, view and sheet issues, warnings and model-to-drawing discrepancies.
- Support Autodesk Construction Cloud collaboration, including access, publishing, model sharing, coordination and information exchange within approved permissions and protocols.
- Work directly with designers to correct specific technical problems, explain the solution and build independent problem-solving capability.
- Implement approved North America templates, families, shared parameters, BIM guidance, documentation standards and model-health practices across live work.
- Deliver short, practical training sessions, one-to-one coaching and onboarding support tailored to studio needs.
- Create concise troubleshooting notes, FAQs and reusable learning resources that help teams apply consistent methods.
- Carry out targeted model-health reviews and help teams address technical risks involving worksets, links, warnings, schedules, families and model organisation.
- Support clear technical exchanges with delivery team, consultants and other contributors, and escalate unresolved design or delivery decisions to the responsible project lead.
- Maintain a simple view of support requests, recurring issues and training needs, and use this evidence to recommend practical improvements.
Continuous improvement and digital tools
- Identify recurring sources of rework and suggest practical changes to tools, guidance and workflows.
- Support testing and adoption of approved updates to Revit, ACC and related design technology tools.
- Bring curiosity about Dynamo, pyRevit, automation and emerging AI-enabled BIM tools.
- Share feedback and lessons learned so the North America Design Technology Lead can refine regional methods and resources.
Experience and capabilities
- Strong hands-on Revit capability across architectural or interior models, documentation, families, schedules, worksharing, model health and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360, cloud model publishing and multidisciplinary coordination.
- A sound understanding of architectural and interior construction documentation and practical BIM quality control.
- Clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to coach designers with different levels of technical confidence.
- The ability to manage competing requests, work independently and remain responsive across several project teams.
- Experience with commercial workplace projects or Canadian and North American documentation is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, Trimble Connect, SketchUp, Dynamo, pyRevit, common data environments or ISO 19650 is useful.
Qualifications
- A relevant degree or diploma in architecture, interior design, engineering, construction or design technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of relevant experience is a useful guide; demonstrated technical competence, judgement and communication are more important than tenure alone.
- Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit and buildingSMART credentials would be added advantage.
Working arrangement
Vancouver is the preferred location because close day-to-day contact with the studio is important. A Manila/ India-based candidate may also be considered if they can provide reliable Pacific Time coverage and build strong working relationships with Vancouver teams. An initial period of in-person onboarding in Vancouver may be considered, subject to business needs and practical arrangements.
