Job Description

DIS Tech is looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager to serve as an individual contributor.

Project Management is a growing team within DIS Tech's Global Design Center focused on designing custom interface hardware, the advanced PCB Assembly that connects our customer's DUTs (Device Under Test) with the major ATE Testers (i.e. Teradyne, Advantest).

We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who is looking to advance their career towards a leadership role in electronics design and manufacturing. Candidates will be matched with a mentor who will teach them our technology, tools, manufacturing process, and industry in an on-the-job learning environment.

Our Project Manager manages the technical development and execution of device interface projects from concept to delivery, collaborating with other cross functional groups. This is a direct customer-facing role. Using skills acquired through training and your experience, you will obtain a deep understanding of the customer's requirements and guide the effort of turning those requirements into functional test interface hardware while managing resources, schedules, scope changes, and customer expectations along the way. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills combined with strong spatial reasoning, attention to detail and a sense of urgency are critical to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities (Focus on Repeat Management)

  • Contact window from execution team for customer engagement team (eg. sales/customer care)
  • Support DIS repeat order SIZE AND QUOTE if needed
  • Accountable for repeat order project execution and on time delivery management
  • Close cross-functional team collaboration for project successful execution and fulfillment
  • Work with NPI project management and Global Design Center/SQE for design changes, project archives (if any)
  • Work with Operation Planners for manufacturing capacity planning including forecasting long LT components demand
  • Work with NPI project management and Supplier Quality Engineer for DFM or DFA issue if switching supplier is inevitable
  • Lead and collaborate design/planner/SQE/test team for manufacture issues
  • Lead and collaborate with execution team for 8D report or phase 5 review if MFG issue happens
  • Timely update of project forecast and progress status in Cortex system
  • Support Admin on project logistics and finance requirements

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Good understanding of High Speed/RF/Mixed Signal PCB Design.
  • Ability to understand datasheets / select components / find or approve substitute parts.
  • PCB Design Tool Suite (Cadence Allegro HDL / PCB Editor a strong plus).
  • Good Knowledge of PCB Fabrication process
  • Good knowledge of DFX (Manufacture, Assembly) understanding.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • The Project Manager needs to be very organized, and detail oriented to keep many different parallel tasks on track and ensure nothing is overlooked.
  • Goal oriented personality that can see how the individual issues and tasks fit with the overall project plan to ensure project success.
  • Problem solving skills are a must, looking for someone who can think outside the box and come up with solutions.

Other Preferred Skills (not required):

  • General Knowledge of Semiconductor and ATE industry.
  • Understanding of SI/PI simulation results and optimization techniques.
  • Project Management experience.
  • MS Project (Scheduling tool).
  • Familiarity with PDM and PLM tools.

Education

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working in Hardware/PCB Development or related Field
