About the Role

The role involves creating and developing layout plans for Shakey’s stores, ensuring adherence to brand standards and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Store Layout & Design Development
• Create and develop initial layout plans for Shakey’s stores using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Ensure designs adhere to Shakey’s brand identity, operational standards, and space planning guidelines.
• Incorporate mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and kitchen layouts into store designs.
• Design Coordination & Approval
• Coordinate the design approval process with internal departments (Operations, Marketing, Engineering).
• Revise layouts based on feedback and ensure timely resubmission.
• Prepare and present layout proposals to management for final approval.
• Third-Party Collaboration
• Coordinate with external architects, engineers, and design consultants for the development of full construction drawings.
• Review and validate working drawings submitted by third-party designers to ensure compliance with Shakey’s standards.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners for smooth project execution.
• Site and Project Support
• Conduct site assessments and provide layout recommendations based on space feasibility.
• Assist in monitoring ongoing construction to ensure design intent is followed.
• Maintain accurate records and filing of design documents and approvals.
• Brand Consistency & Innovation
• Maintain consistency in all design elements across all store projects.
• Contribute to design improvements, store innovation, and visual upgrades in alignment with current trends and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in commercial or retail design (preferably in the F&B industry).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of building codes, interior fit-out practices, and design documentation.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
