DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Clark, Pampanga
Work Arrangement: Onsite, Fulltime
Shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM | Monday - Friday

About this role . . .

We are currently seeking a skilled applicant with a technical background who focuses on supporting presales, tendering, engineering, and project delivery teams by developing compliant, accurate, and efficient designs.

The position requires strong capability in security system design, documentation production across Access Control, EACS, CCTV, Solar, nurse call and other associated electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements to determine the full scope and required deliverables.
  • Prepare system designs that meet relevant offshore standards, industry codes, and project specifications.
  • Create design markups, and technical overlays for tender and design submissions.
  • Produce detailed engineering documentation including:
    • General Arrangements (GA drawings)
    • Schematics
    • Cable schedules
    • Termination diagrams
  • Develop preliminary and detailed design packages for estimating and project handover.
  • Prepare AsConstructed documentation including O&M manuals, data sheets, and training manuals.
  • Assist Project Managers with tracking of project communications and deliverables through online project management platforms such as Aconex, Procore etc.
  • Assist sales teams by developing presales engineering documents including:
    • Project Management Plans
    • Delivery methodology statements
    • Health & Safety considerations
    • Gantt charts / project schedules
  • Provide technical input to support bid decisions and customer presentations.
  • Offer engineering insights to assist with value engineering and costsaving alternatives.
  • Communicate with customers to obtain relevant project / site information to allow compilation of design deliverables.
  • Work with staff to improve their technical understanding of systems
  • Maintain the company's Quality Assurance systems
  • Assist in the development of new business areas and / or improve existing business areas

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Significant knowledge of Security products, CCTV, access control, Intercom and Nurse call solutions (Includes standards and systems) etc.
  • Well-developed analytical skills
  • Use design suites such as:
    • Adobe (Illustrator / PDF workflows)
    • AutoCAD
    • Autodesk Navisworks (clash detection, model reviews, walk-throughs)
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project for Gantt charts)
    • Aconex
  • Prepare 2D/3D design outputs where required to support tender and engineering deliverables.
  • Analytical skills in reviewing activities and identifying key actions to deliver improvement.
  • Excellent communication, customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
