Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Design Engineer, based in Cebu. The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and refining designs for solar energy systems, including system modeling, technical drawings, and specifications. Daily tasks will involve visiting project sites, designing systems, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring the technical feasibility of designs. The role requires close adherence to quality standards and supports the company's mission of delivering high-performance and reliable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics for solar PV systems using AutoCAD.
• Ensure all drawings follow industry standards, local codes, and internal quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and installers to refine design details.
• Maintain organized drawing files and ensure timely updates throughout project cycles.
• Assist in creating presentations, design visuals, or client-facing drawings when required.
• Proactively improve drawing templates, graphic clarity, and design aesthetics across all documents.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) - required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus).
• Background in electrical drafting or engineering, ideally within solar or construction.
• Strong sense of visual design, layout, and technical aesthetics.
• Ability to balance creativity with precision and adherence to standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing clean, accurate drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Experience in solar PV design or related fields.
• Knowledge of Philippine electrical codes and standards.
• Familiarity with other design tools (PVsyst, HelioScope) is an advantage.
