Design Development Specialist

Job description

Role & Responsibilities

Responsible for product development trials, design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA).

Provide reports on development updates.

Evaluates and provides a report on alternative and newly developed materials for product application and cost savings.

Provide Technical Data Sheets and Safety Data Sheets for every approved developed product.

Provide a comparative evaluation of competitors products for benchmarking

Conducts pilot runs and validation for newly developed products to set up production parameters and to achieve the predetermined specifications to establish all the parameters used during the manufacturing process.

Assists in the validation of customer-supplied products to align the production parameters and analytical specifications with the set standard.

Participates in the root cause/problem-solving analysis on non-conforming products, especially during production.

Conducts Echo Seminar for the group based on external seminar/training attended.

Provides documents required by the regulatory officer for product registration

Ensures that standards for safety, housekeeping, health, and environment are implemented in the daily activities.

Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work closely with the Packaging Specialist, Production, Marketing, and Purchasing Department.

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to raw materials, efficiency, and the manufacturing process.

Responsible for audit findings and initiating corrective actions and implementation of the departmental procedures designed to comply with the requirements of the company and relevant standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational background in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

Must be license Chemist/ License Chemical Technician

Communication skills, project management skills.
