The role is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of high-quality engineering design projects within the Design Management function at Black & White Engineering. It involves coordinating multidisciplinary design activities across internal teams, facilitating effective collaboration among stakeholders, analyzing project and operational data, identifying process improvement opportunities, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that support informed decision-making and continuous business performance improvement.

The role works as part of a One Global Team, providing financial coordination and project control support across projects in multiple regions and time zones. By driving alignment across stakeholders, you will contribute to the efficient execution of projects, support business performance, and help deliver exceptional service to our international clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the Plan of Work across the full project lifecycle, from proposal and project initiation through design delivery and post-design activities.
  • Drive workflow optimisation, process standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain digital tools, systems, and process solutions that support the effective execution and governance of the Plan of Work.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple business functions to identify business requirements, gather user needs, and deliver system enhancements that support operational objectives.
  • Manage and maintain project and operational data, ensuring high levels of accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics, providing actionable insights to support business decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor the performance, adoption, and effectiveness of Plan of Work systems and processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement.
  • Support and maintain governance, compliance, and standardisation of processes, systems, and reporting frameworks.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between project teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Provide user support, guidance, and training to promote effective utilisation and adoption of digital tools, systems, and processes.
  • Assist in the automation of workflows and reporting processes through platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
  • Support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives through the preparation and analysis of operational and project performance data.
  • Contribute to organisational digital transformation initiatives, supporting the implementation of new technologies, tools, and process improvements.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to ensure consistency of processes, reporting standards, and best practices across the business.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in project coordination, digital solutions, data analytics, process improvement, or digital transformation.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary stakeholders across multiple business functions and geographical locations.
  • Good understanding of engineering design and project delivery processes, including MEP, CSA, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Excel Power Query and data transformation techniques is highly desirable.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps, or equivalent business intelligence and data visualisation platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing digital solutions, dashboards, reports, workflow automations, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience driving business process improvement, workflow standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar digital collaboration and workflow management platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence, support, and drive positive business outcomes.
