Design and Cost Estimator Manager

1. HVAC System Design

Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Perform or review cooling and heating load calculations.

Review and approve HVAC layouts, ducting systems, piping diagrams, and equipment selections.

Coordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

2. Cost Estimation and Budgeting

Prepare detailed HVAC cost estimates during the tender and proposal stages.

Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.

Estimate costs for HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems), ductwork and piping, insulation materials,control systems, installation labor, develop project budgets and cost forecasts.

Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering.

3. Tendering and Proposal Preparation

Review tender documents, technical specifications, and project requirements.

Prepare technical and commercial proposals for HVAC works.

4. Team Leadership

Manage and supervise estimators.

Assign tasks and monitor project deliverables.

Review engineering drawings, calculations, and estimation reports.

Provide mentorship and training to junior estimators.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Licensed Mechanical Engineer

812 years of experience in HVAC design and estimation.

At least 35 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
