Job Description
About the Role
- Assist the General Manager in leading Town Council operations to ensure efficient service delivery, high standards of estate management and positive resident experience.
Support the formulation and execution of medium- to long-term strategic plans covering service transformation, operational resilience, financial sustainability and stakeholder engagement.
Support C&W in strengthening and growing the township business by identifying new opportunities, enhancing service capabilities and contributing to client retention and business development initiatives.
Provide leadership, guidance and performance oversight to operational teams across maintenance, finance, administration, publicity, community development, projects and other required services.
Implement policies, projects and improvement initiatives that enhance estate standards, service excellence, operational efficiency and community outcomes.
Monitor key service indicators, resident feedback, operational gaps and emerging risks, and recommend corrective actions to achieve service excellence and Green banding outcomes where applicable.
Ensure compliance with the Town Councils Act, Town Councils Financial Rules and related legislation, including governance, audit readiness, risk management and timely closure of corrective actions.
Engage Town Council leadership, MND, government agencies, contractors, community stakeholders and C&W management on strategic matters, service performance and major estate initiatives.
Identify opportunities for digitalisation, data analytics, productivity improvement and innovation to strengthen decision-making and township operations.
Develop team capability and succession readiness by coaching managers and supervisors, sharing best practices and promoting accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
Be appointed as a Key Officer of the Town Council, where required.
About You
Minimally Bachelor's degree in Estate Management, Real Estate, Building or approved professional qualification and at least 8 years direct experience in Town Council management at management level.
Proven experience in management roles, preferably within public sector or property management industry may suffice.
Strong organizational skills to guide the team towards achieving organizational goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and connect with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge in facility management knowledge and corporate governance matters will be an advantage.
