Demand Planner

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Demand Planner to join our supply chain team. The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting product demand, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that the company can meet customer demand efficiently while optimizing stock levels. This role involves close collaboration with various internal teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure that demand plans align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:

• Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
• Analyze and identify demand patterns, seasonality, and potential risks to the supply chain.
• Regularly update and review demand forecasts, adjusting for changes in business conditions.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Collaborate with the procurement and warehouse teams to adjust supply plans based on demand forecasts.
• Help set optimal stock levels across different product categories and distribution channels.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment on demand projections and sales targets.
• Communicate forecast changes and any related issues to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand and supply planning.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze sales data, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improving demand planning processes.
• Provide regular reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and customer service levels.
• Use data analytics and forecasting tools to support decision-making.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously improve demand planning processes to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and implement best practices in demand forecasting, inventory management, and collaboration with other departments.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any potential supply issues.
• Help coordinate product launches, promotions, and new product introductions with suppliers to meet demand.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Demand Planner, Supply Chain Planner, or similar role in demand planning or inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with demand planning software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in a relevant industry (e.g., consumer goods, manufacturing, retail).
• Knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Advanced forecasting techniques and statistical modeling knowledge.
• Experience with inventory management and replenishment processes.
